MOTO Partial Knee Replacement

Dr. Akbar Nawab has helped design and develop a new partial knee replacement system called MOTO by Medacta which replaces the medial portion of the knee through an outpatient procedure to relieve pain and improve function.

Recently released for worldwide use, this unicompartmental knee replacement system considers various knee anatomy types to provide an ideal fit and coverage using a wide range of specifically-shaped implants.

Specially designed instruments are used to achieve balance and alignment through highly precise bone resections. This is verified at various stages of the procedure to minimize implant loosening and prevent disease progression.

The MOTO medial knee system features superior implant design and a wider range of operative flexibility. Surgeons using this system receive comprehensive technical education to further improve patient outcomes.
